Deep tissue massage targets deep layers of muscle and surrounding tissues. It is particularly helpful in treating sports injuries and other problems resulting from extreme physical activities by realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Good for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders and other aches and pains.
